The Dallas Cowboys are set to kick off their 2026 training camp in Oxnard, California, starting with team reporting on July 27, followed by fan-accessible practices from July 29. The camp will officially commence with the annual Back Together Saturday event on August 1, and practices will be free and open to the public until August 18.
A major focus for the team will be the defense, which struggled in the previous season, allowing an average of 30 points per game, the highest in the league. New defensive coordinator Christian Parker is implementing a 3-4 scheme, and reports suggest that up to seven new starters may take the field on defense.
In contrast, the Cowboys' offense remains largely unchanged, having averaged 27.7 points per game last season, providing a stable foundation for Schottenheimer as the revamped defense works to improve. This marks the 20th year that the Cowboys have held their training camp in Oxnard.
