Target Announces New Store Locations Across Multiple States

Target has outlined plans for new retail locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Target has released a list of future store openings spanning numerous states, highlighting its ongoing expansion strategy. The retailer stated that it evaluates several criteria when selecting sites, including community needs, site constraints, and the proximity of existing locations. The company noted that it collaborates with local officials and shoppers to ensure the new facilities are accessible and affordable.

In Arizona, three stores are planned. One will be situated at the northeast corner of Interstate Highway 10 and Verrado Way in Buckeye, covering approximately 148,000 square feet. A second location in Casa Grande will occupy 128,000 square feet at 951 N. Promenade Pkwy.

The third Arizona site is in Mesa, located at the northeast corner of Highway 60 and Signal Butte Road, also spanning roughly 148,000 square feet.

California will see a new store in Perris at 1688 N. Perris Blvd, with an approximate size of 150,000 square feet. Colorado additions include a Denver Green Valley Ranch location at the northwest corner of East 56th Avenue and Tower Road, totaling about 150,000 square feet, and a Firestone store at 4358 City Centre Rd. with 128,000 square feet.

Florida hosts the most planned openings in this announcement. Sites include Clearwater Countryside at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 19 and State Road 580 (138,000 sq. ft.); Cypress Creek Station in Fort Lauderdale at 6415 N. Andrews Ave.

(121,000 sq. ft.); Lake Nona on Lake Nona Boulevard (149,000 sq. ft.); Trailwinds Village at County Road 466A and Seven Mile Drive (136,900 sq. ft.); and Winter Haven at U.S. Highway 17-3rd Street SW and Avenue R SW (149,000 sq. ft.).

Other states with confirmed locations include Georgia (Covington), Idaho (Meridian and Pocatello), Illinois (Round Lake Beach), Indiana (Terre Haute), Kentucky (Frankfort), Louisiana (Denham Springs), Massachusetts (Springfield), Michigan (Davison), Missouri (Farmington and University City), Mississippi (Tupelo), North Carolina (Fayetteville, Mebane, Myrtle Grove, and Selma), North Dakota (Fargo and Williston), New York (Bridgehampton), Ohio (Lima), and Pennsylvania (Hermitage).

Square footage for these locations ranges from approximately 90,000 square feet in Bridgehampton to nearly 150,000 square feet in several other markets.

The specific opening dates for these Prosper-area or other locations have not been provided in the current announcement. Target emphasized that it continues to explore additional sites to meet guest needs across the country.

Target employs about 160 people in Prosper, according to local government records.
