A Final Whistle in Sandy

FC Dallas secured a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Real Salt Lake on Thursday night at America First Field. In a match defined by offensive firepower and late drama, the visiting side managed to hold off a resilient home squad to improve their standing in the conference standings.

The Decisive Moment

The game remained tightly contested until the dying moments of regulation. Ran Binyamin provided the difference for Dallas when he found the back of the net in the 90th minute. That strike proved to be the winner, capping off a spirited second-half performance by the visitors who refused to let Real Salt Lake pull away despite trailing later in the game.

Offense Takes Center Stage

Real Salt Lake, playing on their home turf, opened the scoring through Sergi Solans in the 38th minute, but FC Dallas quickly responded. Joaquín Valiente gave the visitors the lead just two minutes earlier at the 16-minute mark, and Petar Musa doubled that advantage shortly after with a goal in the 20th minute.

Before halftime, Musa struck again in the 45th minute to extend Dallas's lead.

Real Salt Lake refused to surrender. Morgan Guilavogui pulled one back for the hosts in the 50th minute, and Diego Luna added another in the 64th minute to level the score at 3-3. This left Dallas needing a late answer to avoid a draw. ## Statistical Notes

Diego Luna led all players with four total shots for Real Salt Lake, while Petar Musa also recorded four total shots for FC Dallas. Goalkeeping played a crucial role in the final tally; Jonathan Sirois made four saves for the winning side, whereas Real Salt Lake’s Rafael managed one save.

The result leaves Real Salt Lake with a record of 8-4-7, while FC Dallas improves to 9-6-5.
