Prosper, Texas — San Jose signed goalkeeper Angus Gunn before completing Daniel’s move to Dallas. The transaction is a roster development, not a game recap.
Daniel, 32, took over as San Jose’s starter in 2023 and recorded 15 clean sheets over 86 appearances in all competitions, MLS reported. His U.S. green card means he does not occupy an international roster slot.
FC Dallas has acquired goalkeeper Daniel from the San Jose Earthquakes, giving the club an additional experienced option for the second half of the MLS season.
FC Dallas chief soccer officer André Zanotta said Daniel’s MLS experience will add competition in the goalkeeper group. Michael Collodi had started 13 matches this season and recorded three shutouts.
