The community rising directly north of Windsong Ranch is inviting the public in for the first time on Saturday, Sept. 26, with a free music and food festival at its lazy-river amenity complex.
Mosaic is developed by Tellus Group, the same company behind Windsong Ranch. Its homes carry Prosper addresses and its students attend Prosper ISD, though the developer markets the community under Celina's name and places it, in its own FAQ, in Denton County about nine miles southwest of downtown Celina and roughly a mile off the Dallas North Tollway.
The festival, called The Drift, runs from 11 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon on Saturday, Sept. 26, at The River, the community's amenity complex at 4601 Meander Way. It is free, and anyone may attend; Local Profile reports that organizers ask people to RSVP so they can send updates, but registration is not a condition of entry.
Sick Day with Ferris will play through the afternoon. Three food vendors have been announced: Sophia's Haitian Cuisine, Chef Yummi Dishes and Frutiland Gourmet. Other booths will sell beverages, desserts, clothing, jewelry and candles, and there will be lawn games on the grounds around the water.
The venue
The River opened as Mosaic's centerpiece and, according to Local Profile, was valued by its developer, Tellus Group, at $20 million in April 2026. Its features include a lazy river, cabanas with their own plunge pools, fire pits, a gym, sand volleyball, a splash pad for small children, indoor lounge space, a lawn for events and a covered stage.
The complex has collected awards on both the local and national circuit. In 2026 the Dallas Builders Association named Mosaic its Master-Planned Community of the Year at the McSAM Awards and gave The River its Best New Amenity honor, and in 2025 the amenity took a Gold Nugget Award in the Best On-the-Boards Community Amenity category.
