Baylor will start Nate Bennett at quarterback for the second consecutive game after DJ Lagway was ruled out of Saturday’s matchup with Louisiana Tech because of an ankle injury.
Lagway, who transferred from Florida, sustained the injury during Baylor’s season-opening loss to Auburn. He also did not play in last week’s game against Prairie View A&M after being listed as doubtful for the Louisiana Tech contest.
Bennett threw for 314 yards and contributed to four touchdowns against Prairie View A&M. He also threw two interceptions in that game.
Louisiana Tech will also make a change at quarterback. Blake Baker is unavailable with a hand injury, and Trey Kukuk is set to start for the Bulldogs.
