The Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford on a three-year contract extension, according to his agent Mike McCartney, who shared the news via social media.
Spann-Ford was originally scheduled to become a restricted free agent in 2027. He earned $966,666 during the current season before securing this new deal. The former Minnesota Golden Gopher entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
Since joining the organization, he has appeared in all 34 games played by the team. His consistent presence on the roster allowed him to take over as the second-string tight end, displacing Luke Schoonmaker, who was selected in the second round of the 2023 draft.
Offensively, Spann-Ford has recorded 18 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown. Over the last two seasons, he has participated in 25.5 percent of the team's offensive snaps.
His role expanded significantly on special teams, where he accumulated 357 snaps in 2025. This volume of play established him as a primary contributor on that unit.
