Noah Brown, a former wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, the team announced on Sunday. This move adds a physical and experienced target to the Raiders' offense, necessitating the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to make room on the roster.

Brown's journey to Las Vegas follows two seasons with the Washington Commanders, during which he faced significant injury challenges, missing 19 games. Despite these setbacks, he demonstrated his value when healthy, recording 40 receptions for 536 yards and one touchdown, averaging 13.4 yards per catch.

Drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft after playing at Ohio State, Brown became known for his reliability and versatility.

While he was not a primary offensive weapon, he played a crucial role in Dallas for six seasons, particularly in 2022 when he had 43 catches for 555 yards and three touchdowns, serving as a secondary option behind star receiver CeeDee Lamb.

After leaving the Cowboys, Brown spent a year with the Houston Texans, where he achieved 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns, averaging an impressive 17.2 yards per reception. Throughout his NFL career, he has accumulated 155 catches for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns.

The Raiders are not expecting Brown to be the focal point of their offense, but his size, toughness, and experience could provide stability to their receiving corps. This signing offers Brown a new opportunity to re-establish himself after injuries hindered his performance in Washington.

For the Cowboys, Brown's continued presence in the league serves as a testament to his work ethic and adaptability, as few seventh-round draft picks manage to sustain a nine-season NFL career. Now, he has another chance to demonstrate his worth in Las Vegas.
