Five Texans players were held out of Wednesday’s practice while rehabbing injuries, with tight end Dalton Schultz also sitting out for rest. The absent players were offensive tackle Trent Brown, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, wide receiver Nico Collins, linebacker Jake Hummel and offensive guard Ed Ingram.

Brown was listed with knee and wrist issues, while Clowney had a knee injury. Collins was dealing with a hamstring injury, Hummel with a groin issue and Ingram with a groin injury. Collins suffered the hamstring injury during practice last week and did not play in the Texans’ Week 2 loss to the Bengals.

Defensive end Will Anderson Jr. was limited for rest. Defensive end Logan Hall and safety M.J. Stewart were also limited, both with knee injuries. Safety Reed Blankenship and linebacker Wade Woodaz fully participated while managing thumb injuries.
