North Texas will begin the 2026-27 men's basketball season with a four-game homestand, starting Nov. 2 against Southwest Christian. McNeese follows Nov. 5, then Santa Clara on Nov. 11 and South Alabama on Nov. 14. The schedule was released by North Texas Athletics and second-year head coach Daniyal Robinson.
The Mean Green's first road contest is scheduled for Nov. 20 at App State in Boone, North Carolina. North Texas is also slated to compete in the Snake Rivers Invitational in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Nov. 27-29, with Drake, North Dakota State and Boise State listed as opponents. McNeese and Santa Clara appeared in the 2025-26 NCAA Tournament, while South Alabama competed in the NIT.
Overall, the schedule includes three teams from that NCAA Tournament and two NIT teams.
After returning to Texas, North Texas will play Bradley on Dec. 4 and Mississippi Valley State two days later. The team will meet Texas State Dec. 13 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth in the Coast-to-Coast Challenge, its second straight appearance in the event.
The listed home finale includes Winthrop on Dec. 16, Bethune-Cookman on Dec. 20 and the University of the Southwest on Dec. 22. Nine nonconference games are scheduled at the Super Pit, and the American Conference schedule is expected later.
