SMU has brought fifth-year guard Oziyah Sellers into its men’s basketball program, the school announced. Sellers is enrolled and practicing with the team, but SMU did not say when a decision on his eligibility will be made.
Sellers started 36 games for St. John’s during the 2025-26 season, averaging 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists. The Red Storm went 30-7 and captured the Big East championship. The guard spent the previous season at Stanford, where he started all of the team’s games and averaged 13.7 points per game in the ACC.
Before Stanford, Sellers played two seasons at USC under SMU coach Andy Enfield. He has converted 37.8% of his career three-point attempts, including a sophomore-season best of 42.9% at USC. His career free-throw rate is 86.9%.
The move comes during Enfield’s third season at SMU. The Mustangs enter 2026-27 with a transfer group that On3 ranks 21st nationally. The school has not provided a timeline for Sellers’ eligibility status.
