The Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement with wide receiver Ryan Flournoy on a one-year contract extension that will keep him under contract through the 2027 season. The deal was reached before the team’s regular-season matchup with the New York Giants.
Flournoy was selected in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The source reported that his new contract is expected to be worth one year and $6 million, although the agreement was described as one he would sign during the week.
The Cowboys waived Flournoy during their initial roster reductions in 2025. After clearing waivers, he returned to the organization on its practice squad under a new contract rather than the four-year rookie agreement he originally signed.
That change left Dallas with a three-year arrangement and the possibility that Flournoy could become a restricted free agent in 2027. The extension avoids that process and gives the team additional time to evaluate the wide receiver while he remains under contract.
