The Houston Texans have officially signed tight end Louis Hansen, marking his second tenure with the team. This announcement was made on Sunday, and no additional roster moves were required to accommodate Hansen.
Hansen initially joined the Texans in June but was waived in late July. The tight end played college football for two seasons at Michigan and three at Connecticut, where he recorded 46 receptions for 463 yards and four touchdowns over 40 games. After going undrafted in April, he is now set to rejoin the Texans.
Currently, the Texans' tight end roster also includes Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, second-round draft pick Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor. Further details about Hansen's role with the team are not yet clear.
