The Texans placed linebacker Jake Hummel on injured reserve Saturday because of a groin injury, according to cbssports.com, citing Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.
Hummel has not practiced since he was injured during Houston’s Week 1 loss to the Bills. His move to injured reserve means he will be unavailable for at least four games before he can be considered for a return to the active roster.
Jake Hansen is expected to continue starting at linebacker alongside Azeez Al-Shaair and Aiden Fisher while Hummel is out.
