Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins remains uncertain for the team’s Week 3 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts after sitting out a second straight practice because of a hamstring injury. Houston still has one practice remaining before the game, so Collins has not been ruled out.

Collins sustained the injury while preparing for Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals and missed that game. The 27-year-old previously recorded 75 receiving yards and a touchdown on seven catches and 10 targets during the Texans’ Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

If Collins cannot play against the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, receivers Jaylin Noel, Xavier Hutchinson and Kayshon Boutte could take on larger roles in Houston’s passing game. Tight end Dalton Schultz has been the team’s leading downfield contributor through two games, with 16 receptions for 175 yards.

A Week 3 absence would make Week 4 the earliest Collins could return. The Texans are scheduled to host the Dallas Cowboys in that game. His injury also threatens a run of three consecutive seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards, including 1,117 yards in 2025.

Further details about Collins’ final status were not provided. Source: sports.yahoo.com.
