Kumar Rocker delivered a masterful performance on the mound, securing the win for the Texas Rangers with six scoreless innings of work. He allowed just one hit while striking out six batters and issuing two walks. Marco Gonzales closed the door, pitching three perfect innings of relief to earn the save.
Together, they held the Chicago White Sox hitless in the final four innings, contributing to a complete team victory.
Rangers Surge in the Middle Frames
The Rangers broke the game open with a flurry of offense that began in the third inning. After Nimmo’s two-run homer in the first, Burger drove in Jung with a double in the third to make it 3-0. The scoring continued in the fourth when Osuna singled to bring in Diaz, followed immediately by Lopez singling to score Osuna, pushing the lead to 5-0.
The Rangers added to their advantage in the fifth inning. Osuna singled again, allowing Duran and Cauley to cross the plate for a two-run rally. Langford then cleared the bases with a 397-foot home run to left field, extending the margin to 9-0. Duran capped the scoring in the sixth inning with a single that brought Nimmo home, finalizing the 10-0 shutout.
