Eovaldi's Power Display
Nathan Eovaldi anchored the Texas Rangers' victory with a sharp five-inning performance, striking out nine batters while allowing just three earned runs and six hits. Tyler Alexander, Peyton Gray, and Robby Ahlstrom each recorded a hold, combining for two innings of scoreless relief. Cole Winn and Gavin Collyer closed out the game, with Collyer earning the win by retiring the side in the ninth.
Early Tigers Lead

Rangers Take Control
The momentum shifted decisively in the sixth inning when Smith hit a 406-foot home run to right, bringing the score to 5-4. The Rangers pulled ahead in the seventh. Osuna singled to left, allowing Carter to score.
Díaz followed with a single to right, scoring Osuna. Smith reached on an infield single, and Osuna scored again to make it 9-4. The Tigers managed a run in the eighth when Malgeri singled to center, scoring McKinstry, and Carter added a 422-foot home run to center, finalizing the 10-4 tally.
Tigers Pitching Struggles
Detroit's starting pitcher, Framber Valdez, took the loss, falling to 4-6. He pitched five innings, allowing five earned runs on nine hits with two walks and one strikeout. The Tigers' bullpen struggled to contain the Rangers' offense.
Beau Brieske pitched 1.2 innings, allowing one earned run. Drew Sommers gave up three earned runs in no innings pitched. Kenley Jansen worked 0.1 innings with one walk.
Kyle Finnegan pitched one inning, allowing one earned run on three hits. The final score stands at 10-4, improving the Rangers' record to 45-43, while the Tigers fall to 38-50.
