The victory improved the Rangers' record to 80-81, while the Twins fell to 76-85. Attendance at the venue was 28,491. How the Game Unfolded
The Twins struck first in the bottom of the first inning when Keaschall scored on a groundout by Clemens. However, the Rangers responded immediately in the top of the second inning. Jansen singled to left field, allowing Lopez to score on an error. Jansen advanced to second on a throwing error. Carter then doubled to right, scoring Jansen.
