Duran delivers late
The Texas Rangers beat the San Francisco Giants 5-4 on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, with Duran driving in four of Texas' five runs. His final RBI came on a ground-rule double in the bottom of the ninth inning, scoring Burger and moving Seager to third for the final margin.

Rangers build the first lead
Texas scored twice in the first inning. Nimmo doubled to right, bringing in Pederson and sending Seager to third. Duran followed with a single to right that scored Seager and moved Nimmo to third, giving the Rangers a 2-0 lead.
MacKenzie Gore pitched six innings for Texas, allowing three hits and no earned runs. He walked three and struck out four.
Giants tie it, Texas responds
San Francisco pulled even in the seventh inning on the game's only home run. Basabe homered to left, a 377-foot drive that scored Gilbert and tied it 2-2.
