Bolte’s Historic Night
Maxxer Bolte produced a standout performance for the Oakland Athletics, hitting two home runs to help secure a 9-2 victory over the Texas Rangers. The win marked Bolte’s first career multihomer game, providing a significant offensive spark that ultimately overwhelmed the Rangers’ pitching staff.
Bolte’s first blast came in the third inning, a drive to right center that measured 404 feet and scored two runs as Clarke followed him across the plate. He added another long ball in the fourth inning, a 349-foot shot to right field that plated Serven. These two home runs accounted for four of Oakland’s nine total runs.
Rangers’ Early Lead Vanishes
The Texas Rangers, playing at home, jumped out to an early advantage. Adolis Duran homered to left in the first inning, measuring 406 feet, to give Texas a 1-0 lead. Evan Carter did not score, but Leody Taveras homered to center in the second inning, extending the Rangers’ lead to 2-0 with a 424-foot shot.
However, the Athletics quickly answered back. After Bolte’s two-run homer tied the game at 2-2 in the third inning, Mason Miller homered to left (389 feet) to put Oakland ahead 3-2. The A’s continued to pile on runs, taking a 5-2 lead after Bolte’s second home run in the fourth.
Offensive Explosion Continues
Oakland extended its lead in the fifth inning. Josh Naylor homered to center (421 feet) to make it 6-2. Shortly after, Matt Wallner homered to left (358 feet), scoring McNeil and pushing the score to 8-2. In the seventh inning, Williams doubled to right field, allowing McNeil to score again, finalizing the 9-2 tally.
