Adell Powers Angels Offense
Adell provided the primary offensive catalyst for the Los Angeles Angels, launching two home runs to help secure a 13-1 victory over the Texas Rangers on Thursday. The Angels’ slugger connected for a two-run shot in the fourth inning and followed it with a three-run homer in the fifth, accounting for five of the team’s 13 total runs.
Scoring Breakdown
The Angels’ scoring began in the first inning when Grissom singled to left field, driving in Neto for the game’s initial run. The momentum shifted significantly in the fourth inning when Adell homered to right field, a 359-foot shot that also scored Grissom to make it 3-0.
The fifth inning proved decisive for the Angels. After Grissom singled to left to score Neto and put Trout on third, Adell launched a 433-foot home run to center field. This blast scored Trout and Grissom, extending the Angels’ lead to 7-0.
The offense continued to pile on runs in the sixth inning. Grissom doubled to right field, allowing Lowe and Neto to score, pushing the margin to 9-0.
In the eighth inning, Trout homered to left center, a 438-foot drive that scored Lowe to make it 11-0. The Rangers finally got on the board in the same inning when Higashioka homered to left center, a 389-foot shot. The Angels added two more runs in the ninth inning.
