San Francisco Giants 5, Texas Rangers 1, final. Lee delivered the key production Tuesday, August 4, 2026, homering to right center in the third inning and again in the eighth before adding a sacrifice fly in the ninth at Globe Life Field.
Logan Webb was credited with the win (7-7) after a line of 6.0 innings, five hits, no earned runs, one walk and eight strikeouts. Cal Quantrill took the loss (4-4), allowing four hits and one earned run with one walk and four strikeouts in 6.0 innings.
Giants build the lead
San Francisco opened the scoring in the top of the second. Gilbert singled to right, and Susac scored on a fielding error by right fielder Nimmo as Gilbert advanced to third. Basabe followed with a sacrifice fly to right, scoring Gilbert and giving the Giants a 2-0 lead.
Lee made it 3-0 in the top of the third with a home run to right center, measured at 410 feet. That was the first of his two home runs and one of three home runs in the game.
Late scoring
Lee’s second home run came in the top of the eighth, another drive to right center, this one listed at 385 feet, and pushed San Francisco ahead 4-0. The Giants added their final run in the top of the ninth when Lee hit a sacrifice fly to center and McCray scored.
Texas got its run in the bottom of the ninth on Duran’s home run to left, measured at 406 feet, making it 5-1.

Sam Hentges also earned a hold (7), working 1.1 innings with no hits, no earned runs, one walk and one strikeout. Tristan Beck allowed one earned run in 0.1 innings, and Reiver Sanmartin worked 0.2 innings with no hits or earned runs.
For Texas, Ben Peoples pitched 1.0 inning with no hits and no earned runs, Peyton Gray allowed one earned run in 1.0 inning, and Nolan Kingham allowed one earned run in 1.0 inning. The records after the game were Texas 55-58 and San Francisco 48-65. Attendance was 23,736.
