Prosper residents 55 and older can hear directly from the mayor next week, with lunch on the town.
Mayor David Bristol is the featured speaker at the Town of Prosper's 2026 Mayor's Luncheon for Active Adults, set for Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building at 970 Coit Road.
The town's Parks and Recreation Department, which organizes the luncheon, says the mayor will give an update on what is happening in and around Prosper. Lunch is complimentary for those who reserve a seat, and reservations are taken through a link on the town's Mayor's Events for Active Adults 55+ page.
Part of a twice-a-year series
The town holds two of these gatherings each year, one in spring and one in fall, each built around the mayor as speaker. They sit alongside a regular weekly lineup for older residents run largely out of The 407 Rec Center at 407 E. First St., including chair yoga, Senior Strength classes and cash bingo, plus a bowling outing.
The town has not published a list of topics for Bristol's remarks. Residents with questions about the luncheon or reservations can contact Anthony Rivera with the town at arivera@prospertx.gov or 972-569-1139.
