Prosper ISD trustees will get their first look at proposed attendance boundaries for the 2027-28 school year when the board meets Monday, Oct. 19, according to the agenda posted for the meeting.
The boundary proposal is listed as an informational report from the administration, so no vote is scheduled on it Monday. The posted agenda does not include maps or a description of which neighborhoods or campuses could be affected. Trustees will also hear a report on current student enrollment.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Prosper ISD board room at 605 E. Seventh St. People who want to speak during public comment must submit an online request by noon on the Friday before the meeting, according to the agenda.
Construction updates
A third report covers projects from the district's 2023 bond, and a construction update attached to the agenda describes where three of them stand as of October:
- Dr. Drew Watkins Administration and Community Building: Permanent power has been received at the community center, HVAC startup is complete, and crews are installing ceiling tile, flooring, doors and millwork. Elevator installation was scheduled to begin the week of Oct. 12. Work on the administration side, including stone veneer in the boardroom, framing and roofing, is ongoing. Photos in the update show an outdoor learning center with a reception area and community room.
- Lorene Rogers Middle School: The two-week schedule shows science lab casework, restroom fixtures and fire sprinkler testing in early October, a fire alarm test with the fire marshal on Oct. 12, storefront materials arriving Oct. 16 and lighting controls programming on Oct. 20.
- Robert and Robbie Reynolds Middle School: Steel is up and framing has started on an addition, while final cleaning in one area is set to begin Oct. 19. Replacement of metal composite panels was set to start Oct. 5 on nights and weekends.
