Prosper ISD students return to class Tuesday, Aug. 11, the first day of the 2026-27 school year and the start of the first nine weeks.
The district enrolls 33,952 students and reports a 6.37% growth rate, making the morning routine a new one for thousands of families who were not here last August.

Finding your bus
Bus assignments are not published as route lists. They appear in each family's Skyward account.
General education bus details have been available in Skyward since Aug. 1 after 6 p.m. Special education bus details have been available since Aug. 4. The district asked families who did not see an assignment right away to keep checking, and to email the transportation office if nothing appeared after Aug. 10 for general education or Aug. 11 for special education.
The general education address is PISDBus@prosper-isd.net. For special education routes it is SPEDbus@prosper-isd.net.
Families who are unsure whether they qualify can check eligibility and confirm their zoned campus through the district's InfoFinder tool.
A deadline that carries a consequence
Registration for bus service closed July 10.
Families who registered after that date will not receive transportation until the week of Aug. 24, even if the student is eligible. Bus stop information for those students will appear in Skyward Family Access during that week.
