High school football coverage begins this week with a matchup between Prosper Rock Hill and Arlington Bowie. The contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Children's Health Stadium in Prosper.
The broadcast team returning to the booth includes play-by-play announcer Doug Anderson and analyst LaDarrin McLane, marking their 21st consecutive season calling North Texas high school football. Sideline reporter Chris Mycoskie joins the crew for his seventh straight year.
Arlington Bowie enters the week holding back-to-back district titles. Prosper Rock Hill aims to secure its third consecutive playoff appearance with this win.
FOX 4+ will feature a weekly game of the week throughout the season. Following the opener, the schedule includes Mansfield Timberview at Denton Ryan on Sept. 3, Melissa at Rockwall on Sept. 10, and Allen at Prosper on Sept. 17.
Later matchups include Frisco Wakeland at Denton Guyer on Sept. 24, Fort Worth Benbrook versus Fort Worth Eastern Hills on Oct. 1, Trophy Club Byron Nelson at Keller on Oct. 8, and Highland Park at Carrollton Creekview on Oct. 15.
A game between Parish Episcopal and Prestonwood is set for Friday, Oct. 23, with two additional dates in late October and early November listed as matchups to be determined.
