The first phase of widening FM 1385 between US 380 and Union Park is estimated at $38.2 million and is fully funded in TxDOT’s Unified Transportation Program, according to a Sept. 22 presentation to the Prosper Town Council.

The presentation lists the project’s bid-advertising date as undetermined. It says FM 1385 is programmed in fiscal years 2031–2036 and is not in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan, TxDOT’s four-year roadway program. The agency cautioned that the longer-range program is a plan and can change.

For the first phase, right-of-way acquisition was on track for completion in October 2026, while utility-relocation design and permitting were underway. The remaining corridor is divided into segments from Union Park to Cotton Trail and from Cotton Trail to FM 455.

Those were the planning milestones presented on Sept. 22, rather than confirmation that right-of-way work has since finished or that a construction start date has been set.
