Victory+ has dissolved and will no longer air Dallas Stars hockey games or Texas high school football matches. The decision follows reports that the NHL franchise was evaluating a move to Amazon Prime Video for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.
While the Stars have not publicly confirmed their future broadcasting plans, the Texas Rangers and Anaheim Ducks previously announced their departures from the platform during the summer.
The service, which is based in Dallas, launched in 2024 as a free ad-supported streaming television option ahead of the NHL season. Ownership of the platform was shared between the Stars and Calgary-based A Parent Media Company. The dissolution marks the end of the service's initial run, which began just over two years ago.
In addition to professional hockey, Victory+ held the exclusive media rights for UIL Texas high school football state championships. This agreement was a five-year contract brokered by Dave Campbell's Texas Football, which serves as the marketing arm for the University Interscholastic League. It is not yet clear what will happen to the broadcasting rights for these state championship games following the service's closure.
The platform had scheduled a slate of regular-season high school football games for the fall, with broadcasts planned from late August through late October. These matchups included games involving teams from Prosper, Allen, Frisco, and other North Texas locations.
