Davis was selected by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, being the 226th overall pick. His workout video was shared on social media prior to his session with the Texans, showcasing his readiness to return to the field.
The Texans have faced injury challenges in their cornerback lineup this season, a situation that mirrors the difficulties they encountered in 2025. The team currently has Jalen Pitre, a safety, starting at the nickelback position, and they also drafted Jaylin Smith in the third round of the 2025 draft, although Smith's rookie season was largely affected by injuries.
