Prosper is split between two congressional districts this fall. Texas Legislative Council census tables for the 2025 map place 3,375 of the town's 30,174 residents, about 11%, in the 26th District. The rest of Prosper is in District 4.

Residents in the District 26 portion will choose between Republican Rep. Brandon Gill, who is seeking a second term, and Democrat Steven Shook, a first-time nominee. Gill has stressed conservative values and has President Donald Trump's endorsement; Shook's campaign focuses on health care costs and public schools. Libertarian Phil Gray is also listed as a candidate in the Vote-USA directory.

Because the line runs through town, residents should confirm which congressional race appears on their sample ballot through their county elections office. Early voting runs Oct. 19 to Oct. 30, and Election Day is Nov. 3.
