College graduates considering a move into teaching can learn about an alternative certification pathway at a Prosper ISD information meeting Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The session is scheduled for 4:30–5:30 p.m. in the Prosper ISD Community Room, 2000 Stadium Drive.

According to the district's Sept. 22 Together We Prosper newsletter, the meeting will explain how participants can use their college degree to pursue alternative teacher certification. Planned topics include testing, an internship and the steps toward certification.

The session is intended for people interested in teaching in Prosper ISD who have questions about getting started or their eligibility. The newsletter includes a link labeled “Register for Alternative Certification Information Meeting” beneath the event description.

Prospective attendees can use that district link to review registration details. The announced event is an information meeting; the district's notice does not promise certification or a teaching position to attendees.
