Universal Kids Resort Opens in Frisco With Limited Availability

The Universal Kids resort in Frisco is now open to the public, marking the debut of a new family destination in North Texas. The property, which is owned by NBCUniversal, the parent company of NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth, features a theme park and an on-site hotel with 300 rooms. Some of these accommodations include themed designs, dining options, and a swimming pool.

The first group of guests checked in on the evening prior to the full opening.

Ticket availability for the park varies by date. While limited passes remained for Friday and Sunday at the time of reporting, tickets for Wednesday and Saturday, July 4, were fully sold out. The theme park typically operates from 10 a.m. to 7 or 8 p.m., with hours shifting depending on the day of the week.

Guests staying at the resort are permitted to enter the park early.

Park officials have advised visitors to remain hydrated and seek shade during their visit. The facility is located near the Dallas North Tollway. Frisco is about 6 miles south of Prosper.

Local residents have expressed enthusiasm for the new development. Breshelle West of Frisco stated she was excited about the opening. Jeremy Li of Celina noted that he had watched the construction progress from his daily commute and shared his anticipation for the final result. Parents in the area have indicated that the resort provides additional options for summer activities for children.

Details regarding long-term operating schedules beyond the initial opening week, specific pricing structures for non-hotel guests, and the total number of rides or attractions included in the park are not yet clear.
