The University Interscholastic League finalized its annual Lone Star Cup standings on Wednesday, recognizing high schools across Texas for their combined achievements in academics, athletics, music, and spirit during the 2025-26 school year. The award, established in the 1997-98 season, honors one top-performing school in each of the six state classifications.
In the 5A division, Prosper Walnut Grove secured the top spot. The Wildcats, who are moving to 6A competition next year, captured the classification title in only their third year as a 5A program. The school defended its boys golf and boys soccer state titles, with the soccer team finishing the season with a perfect 31-0 record.
The program also earned points through a state runner-up finish in girls soccer, a girls basketball state semifinal appearance, and a boys swim team that placed second at the state meet.
Flower Mound finished second in the 6A standings, trailing only Southlake Carroll. This marks the second consecutive year the Lady Jaguars have placed in the top three of the 6A rankings. Their points were bolstered by a girls basketball state runner-up finish, a second consecutive softball state semifinal appearance, and a second-place finish in girls cross country.
The school also earned recognition for its baseball regional semifinal run, volleyball regional finals appearance, academics, and marching band.
Allen placed fifth in the 6A standings for the fifth consecutive year. The Eagles recorded nine playoff appearances, including state semifinal runs in football and boys soccer, and a boys basketball regional finals appearance.
Additional points came from district titles in baseball and softball, three-round playoff runs in team tennis and volleyball, and a boys wrestling team that won its 16th team title in 17 years. The school also received high marks for robotics and film programs.
