The Frisco Police Department is requesting information from the public regarding a robbery that took place at the Frisco Athletic Center on June 29. The incident occurred in the facility's parking lot around 8 p.m., according to a social media post released by the department on Wednesday.
Responding officers were informed that the robbery followed a pre-arranged meeting between the parties involved. The suspects departed the scene in a blue and white Ford Bronco before law enforcement arrived. Investigators later determined that the vehicle belonged to a resident living near the athletic center.
Police located the Bronco at a fast-food restaurant a few miles from the Frisco Athletic Center. Officers interviewed the individuals inside the vehicle but discovered that the person carrying the handgun was not present. Detectives and school resource officers conducted a preliminary investigation which revealed that the individuals involved are juveniles enrolled in Frisco ISD.
The police department stated that all parties identified in the incident will be held accountable for their actions. Frisco is about 6 miles south of Prosper.
