Little Elm is about 9 miles southwest of Prosper. Residents in the area have several updates regarding local services, public safety, and community news.

DoorDash has launched a new drone delivery program in parts of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, including the Little Elm area. The service will deliver items such as pizza, burgers, and spaghetti from the sky. The company describes the food as falling from the air, though it is ordered by customers.

In a recent emergency, two Little Elm police officers rescued two children from a home filled with smoke. The officers entered the burning structure to save the minors. The department stated the officers were simply performing their duties.

A former custodian at a Little Elm elementary school faces allegations of sexually abusing students. The Little Elm Independent School District reported that the former employee is believed to have had inappropriate contact with three students during his two years of employment.

A school nurse and mother of two was killed after an intoxicated driver ran a red light. Prosper police identified the driver as someone with a prior DWI conviction. Dash camera footage captured the moments before the crash.

A man turned himself in to police hours after a deadly shooting occurred in Little Elm on Monday night. Authorities are investigating the incident.

A house fire near Little Elm spread to neighboring properties, damaging three homes. No serious injuries were reported from the blaze.

Little Elm police assisted firefighters in removing a snake from a recliner at the local fire station. The animal was found inside the furniture at the station.

A 29-year-old man from Little Elm was found dead in Lake Lewisville. His body was recovered around 11 p.m. south of the Lewisville Toll Bridge. He was identified as a missing kayaker.

Lobo Stadium in Little Elm will host the District 11-5A track and field meet on Monday. Security measures have been enhanced, including bag checks and metal detectors for attendees. These precautions follow a fatal stabbing at a track meet in Frisco on Wednesday.
