Prosper recorded a 63-26 victory over McKinney on Thursday night at McKinney ISD Stadium, marking the team's first district win against the opponent. The Eagles improved to a 4-1 overall record and 1-1 in District 6-6A, while McKinney fell to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in district play.

Prosper overcame a second-quarter rally by McKinney to dominate the second half, outscoring the Mustangs 35-7 in that stretch.

Quarterback Tyler Albert led the Prosper offense, completing for 360 passing yards and scoring two touchdowns via the air. Albert also added two rushing touchdowns, contributing significantly to the team's 584 total offensive yards. Marcus McCoy was the primary receiving target, catching six passes for 110 yards, while Braden Schleifer-Bell added three receptions for 94 yards and a score.

Hudson Bowman led the rushing attack with 71 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns.

Prosper's defense limited McKinney's passing game to just 52 yards and forced two turnovers that resulted in points. McKinney's first score came on a 70-yard touchdown run by TJ Corbett after Prosper had built a 21-0 lead. Safety Jaylen Ford recorded two interceptions that helped McKinney narrow the deficit to 21-16 before halftime.

Corbett finished the game with 165 rushing yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns.

Prosper head coach Tyler Moore noted that making the opposing offense one-dimensional helped the team's confidence and playcalling. Albert expressed pride in the team's execution in the second half, stating it was important to respond after their previous loss to Allen. McKinney head coach Nate Leonard emphasized the need to capitalize on turnovers and sudden changes to close the gap.

Prosper will face town rival Prosper Rock Hill following a bye week. McKinney is scheduled to play Allen in two weeks as it seeks its first district victory.
