The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall as they prepare for their upcoming preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. General manager Nick Caserio announced the signing on August 17, shortly after Hall participated in a workout with the team.
Hall, 28, previously played for the New York Jets for four seasons before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft and has started 26 of the 40 games he has played in his career. His statistics include 122 total tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and half a sack.
Hall is also noted for his versatility, which could benefit the Texans' secondary, especially given their current injury concerns.
The Texans have been dealing with several injuries in their secondary, which plagued them last season as well. Key players such as Tank Dell, Jaylin Noel, and Ja'Marcus Ingram are among those currently sidelined, impacting the team's special teams capabilities. Hall's addition is seen as a necessary move to provide depth and support in this area.
Hall's experience and size, standing at 6-foot-1, make him a valuable asset as the Texans look to enhance their defensive lineup. He was part of the UFL championship-winning team in 2026 with Louisville, further adding to his credentials.
