A Hard-Fought Victory at Home
Texas Tech secured a critical 34-26 victory over the visiting Arizona Wildcats on Saturday, October 31, 2026, improving their record to 7-1. The win came at Galaxy Stadium in Lubbock, Texas, before a crowd of 59,131 spectators. While Arizona’s passing attack generated significant yardage, the Red Raiders’ balanced offensive output and timely scoring plays ultimately proved too much for the Wildcats to overcome.
Early Exchange and Second-Half Shifts
The game began with Arizona taking an early 3-0 lead on a Michael Salgado-Medina 35-yard field goal. Texas Tech responded immediately, tying the score and then taking the lead when Thomas Castellanos connected with Terrance Carter Jr. on a 24-yard touchdown pass.
